I photographed the front counter inside a local comic book store, 8th Dimension Comics and Games, to demonstrate depth-of-field. I liked how the shifted focus in this image softens some of the chaos of the store's merchandise.
We were asked to go out as a class and photograph the cougars in front of the Cullen building. After taking the pictures, we displayed our photos in class and compared photographs to see how each others' compositions were arranged.
I took this photo to demonstrate one of the compositional elements of photography. The element that I chose to focus on was emphasis. I liked the eeriness of the red glow from the exit sign.
This photograph is part of my "Friends and Family" final project. This is my dog; my mom was holding food to distract him while I took the picture.
I took this photo as part of an environmental portraits assignment. My subject is my mom, standing in the dorm courtyard after she dropped me off on campus after staying home for the weekend.
This was taken as part of a storytelling assignment. My story was about my routine morning trip to Starbucks, and this was the last image of that story.
